This trend is here to stay and it works for every skin tone! So if you haven’t fall for it this is the perfect time to give it a try.

Since the weather is changing we should be extra careful about hydration, so make sure you wear something underneath your lipstick like a balm or chapstick. Personally I love the Saje tingle lips in peppermint.

Scrubbing your lips once a week will also help to prep and smooth before lipstick. There are a lot of products out there that do this but the easiest and cheapest way to do it is with brown sugar, honey with a little bit of olive oil.

Now a lot of you might be scared of applying a dark lipstick but there is nothing that can’t be fixed, so start with a liner if you think you need the help to outline your lips and then do the lipstick on top of that, just make sure that liner is blending in and you don’t see that hard line, we are not going for a 90’s look.

Ops!! you made a mistake? Not to worry, just take some makeup remover (my favorite is bioderma micellar water ) in a q-tip and clean around the edges. Another way to make your lipstick look flawless is to go around your lips with concealer and blend it with a brush into your foundation.

Last but not least, take a tissue and just like grandmas used to do but with a brush and translucent powder tap over the tissue to make that lipstick last longer.

It’s shopping time! YAY!! So, if you are a red lipstick virgin or if you are not 100% sure about this trend I would recommend to go to the drugstore, they have tons of great options and you don’t have to invest too much in it. And please if you are going to use the testers in store just swatch on the back of your palm or ask the attendant to clean them up for you unless there is a makeup artist, just let them apply it with clean brushes. Happy shopping and have a great lipstick day!
